Our mission has always been to provide a nurturing and dynamic learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We provide a holistic approach. A holistic approach to education focuses on developing the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, socially, physically, and creatively—rather than just emphasizing academic success.

VIDYA VIKASH ACADEMY stands on a spur of evergreen pines and ferns.
As the principal of VVA, I feel greatly honoured to welcome everybody to our school website. VVA, founded in 1982, has come a long way. In these 43 years our school has achieved several milestones. We have a strong alumnus, working in various fields and professions. I am proud of our dedicated teachers, staff and students who make our school a special place.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment, whose students grow academically, socially and emotionally. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities to help students develop their talent.
We encourage our parents to be actively involved in their child’s education and activities. We wish to create a positive environment, where students are taught the values of respect, integrity and empathy.
VIDYA VIKASH ACADEMY aims to progress not only in the field of formal education but also to develop in our students a Conscience which will ultimately teach them values of human dignity, of social justice, of right convictions, of freedom, of peace, of morality, of lawful authority and of Universal Love as embodied in the school motto “CARITAS NOS URGET”.

Our Journey
Vidya Vikash Academy started in 1982 with just 150 students and five teachers, offering classes from 3 to 7(Nursery to class 2 is coming up*). Over the years, the school has grown in size and stature:
1985: Recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
1985: Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi.
1986: First batch of ICSE students graduated with excellent results.
1999: Upgraded to ISC (Class 12) level, introducing Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams.
2003: Introduced Biotechnology as a subject for Science students.
2012: Installed Smart Class technology across 31 sections from Classes 2 to 12.
2012: Implemented CCTV surveillance for enhanced security.
Present Day: 1100+ students, 55+ experienced teachers, and a well-equipped campus.
Our 100% pass rate in ICSE and ISC examinations reflects our dedication to academic excellence.
